Goodbye ******@***************.com

Update: Operation Beige-Free* is well underway.

I'm at the end of a long contract with one of my first clients and early next week I will be shedding a very special identity.** I've ridden the entrepreneurial roller coaster with this client for the last few years and, as always, it's been an insane but wonderful ride. Working in a start-up environment through the early growing pains forms pretty unique bonds between people. In fact, two of my closest friends came into my life through shared entrepreneurial spirit. And it's saying farewell to this bond that will feel bittersweet when I finally say goodbye.

Like many people, I have a ridiculous number of e-mail addresses and each one represents a certain identity. The spam collector address which I use when I absolutely have to provide one; the Atomic-dogmA address which I use to collect all your lavish praise and witty feedback; the various client e-mail addresses I maintain; and my business account which represents the closest thing to my real identity.

Next week I'll be losing a client address that has been frustrating, hilarious, challenging and rewarding; but an identity that always served me well in my first years of consulting. Goodbye ******@***************.com.

I'll miss you.

* subject to minimum levels of beige required to pay for all the beige-free madness
** later next week promises to be quite beige-free, too ...

Congratulations for making it through this difficult time. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the transition to beige free living a tad less arduous. A massage maybe or a large stiff drink perhaps? x

Penfold, leave the poor girl alone - she's got a lot to do.

P, put me down for a massage and a stiff drink ... preferably near a bus stop with a handsome fella. x

DaddyP, leave the poor boy alone - he's got a lot to do ... ;-)

Yeah Dad - leave me alone. I have a lot to do.
Tango - consider yourself massaged and plied with a stiff drink (not necessarily in that order)... xxx

tNb~ you just made me realise & take stock that I have 7 e mail ID's...
for many of the reasons you describe

My advice is rid the beige as often as you may need.. but sometimes beige is a comfort blanket (that is the beauty of beige!) :-)

Hope you have a great time ;-)

70s, I seem to have lost all traces of beige somewhere over the Atlantic ... having a bit of trouble finding my way back to beige at the moment ... ;-)

DaddyP, have you been impersonating me again??
