In School, Infirm or in Prison?
If this week's weird, stringy disco was any indication, you may have guessed that I've been out of sorts lately. I should probably apologize for my recent state of meality but such is the beast of blogging.
There's a chapter in one of my Costco coffee table books that still resonates and it's at times like this that I try to remember the "art of not complaining." So, despite my recent whining, I've been doing my best to keep my head above beige and continue my optimist-in-training lessons. I even managed to find a few catchy gems in the Income Tax Act (gimme a break, I'm aware of how ridiculous that sounds). My favourites include "goodwill and other nothings" (yes, the Feds still want their cut of my nothings) and "boring boring boring transfer to lower income spouse boring boring unless spouse is in school, infirm or in prison."
So today is the big day and I'll get to release all the information that I've been stuffing into my brain in the last few weeks. Send me good thoughts & wish me luck!
Assuming I pass the exam (which I won't find out until July 30), I intend to forget as much of that stuff as possible. And I promise never to blog about income tax again. Because this educational prison term is over and ... the next chapter of canoodling fun starts in just a few days!
